About Alexis

Hi, my name is Alexis! I was fortunate to be born and raised in Tampa, FL. I can help individuals struggling with anxiety disorders, ADHD, and depression. I can help couples with improving their communication skills, addressing underlying issues, finding new ways to connect, understanding each other better, and finding ways to have constructive disagreements. I also work with people who need assistance making progress towards a greater fulfillment in their life or career.

Outside of the therapy office my husband and I are dog and kitty parents, foodies, and love to travel. I am always creating pieces of art or reviving plants for my sister’s local floral shop. We love to be outside or hanging out at the house with our fur family.

Why I became a counselor.

Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to help others grow to meet their potential. As I spent time as a cosmetologist, it gave me an opportunity to help educate others what it means to feel good about the way they feel about their look. Now, I can help others feel uplifted about the way they feel about themselves on the inside and progress towards fulfillment in their lives.

Education, Experience, and Approach.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I earned my master’s degree in 2020 and my undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of South Florida in 2017. My therapeutic approach is focused on collaboration as well as person-centered therapy. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when working with clients who struggle with negative thinking patterns. This is done by identifying negative thoughts and working with the client to reframe them.

It is hoped that the client’s experience will lead them to their own discoveries with my guidance, when needed, along the way. Everyone’s life experience is unique and so should their therapeutic experience. Let’s collaborate to tailor a plan that works for you!
